Provider Update on Perinatal PTSD

An online self-study course for health and/or perinatal professionals who want to increase their knowledge of current research based best practices around how to effectively screen and support perinatal clients for trauma and PTSD.

This course is a 2 hour voice over power point video designed for:

  • Health and/or perinatal professionals who work with pregnant or early parenting people and who want to learn about the most recent research, and increase their knowledge of how to effectively assess clients for trauma and PTSD. 
  • Health and/or perinatal professionals who work with pregnant or early parenting people and who want to support clients experiencing trauma or PTSD based on the most recent research findings. 

This course increases knowledge of how to:

  • Incorporate up to date research knowledge of trauma, its effects, and how it impacts the perinatal period into their professional practice.
  • Include a working knowledge of the state of the science for addressing PTSD generally and in the perinatal period into their professional practice. 
  • Focus on interventions and ways to advance PTSD programs and treatments more quickly and effectively.
