The Fitting Room
If your answers to one or more of these scenarios are that they would be, or have already been stressful, SMC may be a great “fit” for you.
What do you think? Does SMC seem like it could be useful for you?
Some survivor moms have found SMC was not a good fit for them. It brought up too much for them to manage. Other they didn't have enough support to work on it. Or it wasn't the right time for them.
To see if the program fits for you now, ask yourself "Who makes up your support system right now?"
- Your partner?
- Your family?
- Your therapist?
- Your midwife or doctor?
- A friend?
- Someone else?
Do you feel safe with your partner? Yes or No
Are you using drugs or alcohol to cope? Yes or No
If you are safe and pretty steady and have some support, the SMC might be a great fit. You can always change your mind. You start with a tutor.
If you're not sure, you can talk with a tutor to get help to decide.

Thank you for taking the time to ask yourself if the SMC is right for you. If it is, then start by finding a few tutors to do a consult with and see which one you would like to partner with for your SMC journey.
